My husband often asks me if it has to be done right this second... and some of the time he is right it's doesn't... it's very easy to be like a little mouse on a treadmill - running with all your might but not really getting anywhere.
Years ago when I used to work for a very large organisation carrying HOURS of flexi credit, it dawned on me that I could work 24 hours and there would still be more in my in tray and in box.
I think we need to say to ourselves MORE OFTEN "I'm just going to leave this till tomorrow and go home to play with my kids' OR whatever fits for you. If you left work on time most days wouldn't you feel better about work?
I know some days you have to stay longer BUT for a lot of people this is everyday.
What habits have you got yourself into and does staying at work longer really get you ahead or give you better results? Maybe recovering some wasted time during the day especially first thing in the morning might be better??
